Today I looked myself in the mirror…
I looked directly into my eyes, as if to gain wisdom through the windows of my soul. I found myself pondering the question, “I am I Christ?” I quickly turned away and laughed, ‘how could I be so arrogant to think such a thing?’ I got into the shower and still this question lingered. As I wrestled with the thought and began to close my eyes, I came to the conclusion that this idea was not wrong, however my association with this image of an external Christ was. As I went deeper into my own heart I received a message loud and clear “We are ALL Christ.” You must understand that when I speak of Christ, I am not speaking of a Man or a human being at all, rather a state of mind or Consciousness if you will. This state of mind or is not sConsciousnesself aware because it is one with the GREAT SELF. THE GREAT SELF is the infinite mind, which manifests itself into many FORMS so that it may fully understand and know itself. These FORMS we know in our physical mind as friends, family, people, animals etc. but they are merely fragments of THE GREAT SELF. One who is tune with this Christ Consciousness is then in tune with all creation for it accepts the truth, that it is one with them.
I am not an avid reader of the Holy Bible, but when I have indulged in these particular interpretations of the life of Jesus in the New Testament, a certain passage has always stuck with me; "The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, nor will people say, 'Here it is,' or 'There it is,' because the kingdom of God is within you." (Luke17:20-21). This phrase or similar phrases occur in the New Testament more than 100 times. When applied to the idea of the Christ Consciousness, these words are not just a statement, but a call to our inner Christ. Jesus is one teacher of many spiritual teachers whom have accepted this truth and tried to instill it in others. These teachers have tapped into this inner Christ and remained in their physical bodies to teach and light the way. It is important that we recognize and acknowledge the “teachings”, rather than worship the people who taught them. For when we worship the deliverers of these messages we lose their meaning and have misunderstood their purpose, we forget the truth…
“…The Kingdom of God is within you.”
These words cry out to your inner Christ, it is calling you home, to rejoin with THE GREAT SELF. When we practice unconditional LOVE we are acting from the Christ within, when we exercise FORGIVNESS we are in tune with THE GREAT SELF, when we LOVE ourselves, we have no enemies, because we see no threat. Practice these things every day, until they become part of your breathing… Everything we experience is an opportunity to LOVE and to FORGIVE, and to exercise our Christ Consciousness.
Go forth in LOVE and LIGHT
